Delay is a popular 5 out action that can be ran in transition as a secondary action or after a made basket. When I taught it at the high school level, we blended it into our Point Series.

Keys – the spacing and pace of the action. Duncan Robinson puts pressure on the defense to make a decision with his pace. The defender is in a lock and chase situation because of his shooting ability. Lack of communication sends both defenders with Robinson and gives Gabe Vincent the open three. Miami responds the next time up the floor with the same action. This time, the lock and trail creates the open curl cut and layup.
