Sacramento runs their offense through Domantas Sabonis. In their 5 out alignment, Sabonis will be at the top of key as the main decision maker. He utilizes hand offs, gets into the zoom action, pick and roll and throws the backdoor cuts very well.

The Kings will also use the Point Series, with Sabonis playing the point man (pinch post). Sacramento adds a counter to the typical Point Away action with the wing getting into the split, and having Huerter receive a down screen after being the screener in the split to try and get him an open look. Similar to the Point Over Chicago action, where the corner man comes over the top for the handoff, Huerter will come over the top in Away looking for the shot.

One of the most difficult actions to defend at all levels of basketball is the Shuffle Action. Sabonis receives the shuffle cut, which is set by Huerter, who then receives a down screen to get a look from three. This is commonly referred to as a screen the screener action.

When Sabonis is denied entry at the Point spot, he’ll pop and get into the high pick and roll out of Point. In the second clip, Sacramento flows from Point Fist into Zoom for the score.
